scottpollocklabs is a business incubator of sorts based in Texas where sparks occasionally become structure. More workshop than showroom, it’s white boards, raw materials, chemicals, prototypes. Ideas are tested and when something clicks, solutions come to life. Most ideas don’t survive yet become building blocks, and the rare gem can shine.

Long ago in America's heartland, Scott Pollock’s startup interests formed at an intersection of ball fields, courts and oval tracks. Growing up in the thoroughbred racing world with summer jobs through college being at the racetrack instilled an appreciation for all walks, or runs, of life.  The experiences forged brought lessons for life's own unpredictable derby.

After earning a business degree with minors in math & philosophy, Scott first worked for a large corporation in computer distribution. Within a few years he left to chart his own course and began putting venture capital deals together, founding a firm and several subsequent partnerships. The fun in finding order from chaos shifted from classroom to business.

Meanwhile at home came the job of raising three amazing children, with the majority of those years on his own. With the kiddos now grown and thriving on their own, the unique life lessons that came with the territory hold strong. It's through that panoramic paternal lens that some impactful products were born. And the best is yet to come. 

To date, Scott has invested in and helped build dozens of companies. Spanning thirty years, from a leading brand of water purification products, to pioneer in minimally invasive back and neck surgery, to motorcycle manufacturing and small business lending. Some generated multiple hundreds of millions in revenue and employed thousands of people.
